Alaska Airlines: Securing New Business Through Personalized Digital Experiences

I played a key role in helping my team secure new business with Alaska Airlines through an RFP pitch, where I developed the illustrative creative that brought our concepts to life.

As part of our pitch strategy, we identified two core personas to personalize our marketing approach. For the first, we crafted content centered around Las Vegas, featuring an influencer video showcasing the top 10 things to do in the city—emphasizing the excitement of flying Alaska Airlines for that adventure. The second persona targeted non-cardholders with a special Valentine’s Day offer, encouraging them to apply for an Alaska Airlines credit card. This dual-pronged approach demonstrated our ability to blend creativity with strategic marketing goals, ultimately contributing to our team’s successful business win.

Once we secured the partnership, I worked on the campaign’s design phase, developing immersive and customized emails that spoke directly to the diverse interests of Alaska Airlines travelers. My creative approach leveraged personalized content and dynamic modules to keep the emails fresh and engaging.

A key feature of the project was integrating RTI (Real-Time Interaction) technology to personalize content dynamically, based on user interactions and behaviors. Emails featured personalized greetings and tailored recommendations, ensuring every recipient felt like the content was crafted just for them. I combined these features with strategically selected modules and clear calls-to-action to drive higher engagement and conversion rates.

Our efforts delivered measurable results: a 6% increase in click-to-deliver rate (CTDR) during phase 1 of the campaign and an impressive 8% increase in phase 2. These results highlighted the power of combining strategic creative design with advanced personalization tools to create high-performing digital experiences.

Through this project, I showcased my ability to develop visually engaging, experience-driven creative that not only resonates with diverse audiences but also delivers tangible business results.
