A Single Favor, Scaled Big: Designing Disney+ Perks

What began as volunteering for a late-night call in September 2024 to help with internal presentation materials for a Disney Summit turned into something much bigger—a business win that led to the full design and development of Disney+ Perks, the first-ever loyalty program for a streaming platform.
My initial role was to create illustrative creative assets for the Summit pitch, including mobile and desktop concept views of a perks landing page and a personalized member dashboard. These visual prototypes helped Disney envision what a loyalty experience tailored to their fans could look and feel like.
Months later, I returned to help bring that vision to life. I supported the workflow and UI design of the live Disney+ Perks site—choosing colors from the Disney design system, designing dropdown filters, and iterating through multiple dashboard layouts to achieve something both sleek and elevated. It was my idea to add a subtle glowy flare effect to the dashboard numbers, giving the interface a signature Disney touch that quietly echoed their brand of magic.
Launched in May 2025, the site saw more than 200,000 signups in the first 8 hours, signaling overwhelming demand and excitement for this new kind of fan engagement. What started as a single deck slide turned into a streaming industry first.
