Banamex Rewards
Rebranding Rewards for Mexico’s Leading Bank
2025
When Banamex, a leading Mexican bank, split from Citi and set out to build its own standalone rewards program, I was part of the early creative team that helped visualize what the new experience could become. I created illustrative concept materials that brought the rewards journey, visual identity, and user experience to life — work that directly contributed to winning the business.
In October 2024, I was brought on as the lead UI designer for the full rebrand and reskin of the Banamex Rewards platform. With minimal creative direction and tight timelines, I set the visual language for the site, establishing a robust, component-based design system in Figma. Every element — from buttons and product cards to interaction patterns, icon libraries, and image guidelines — was crafted with accessibility, scalability, and development feasibility in mind.
Over the course of the project, I led a small team of designers to deliver over 400 unique pages, including responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile. This included detailed design for product pages, checkout flows, pop-ups, error states, breadcrumb navigation, points transfers, and more. Despite the scale, we kept a tight workflow and launched the full Banamex Rewards experience in March 2025, delivering a live platform now used by millions of customers across Mexico.
